Museum Ticketing System
Museum admission platform combining online ticket purchases, QR/barcode digital tickets, staff validation, and operational dashboards.
Overview
The Museum Ticketing System connects the visitor purchase journey with digital ticket delivery and day-to-day staff operations.
It covers ticket selection, visit dates, a mock checkout abstraction, QR and barcode tickets, validation, order management, and reporting views.
Challenge
A ticketing MVP must serve public visitors and staff without confusing their responsibilities. Ticket records need to move consistently from checkout to digital delivery and validation while preventing duplicate use and supporting operational visibility.
Solution
The Next.js application uses Supabase and PostgreSQL for ticketing data and role-aware workflows. It generates QR codes, barcode fallbacks, and printable PDF tickets, while staff-facing pages support validation, order review, attendance, and revenue reporting. Payment remains a mock abstraction rather than a live processor.
